Against the advice of conventional banks and the government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus implemented the concept of ‘micro-loans’, and formed Grameen Bank, meaning ‘Village Bank’ founded on principles of trust and solidarity upon realizing that there must be something terribly wrong with the economics he was teaching as a professor of economics after conducting a field trip to a poor village with his students.

In Bangladesh today, Grameen has 2,564 branches, with 19,800 staff serving 8.29 million borrowers in 81,367 villages. Of the borrowers, 97% are women and over 97% of the loans are paid back, a recovery rate higher than any other banking system.Grameen methods are applied in projects in 58 countries, including the US, Canada, France, The Netherlands and Norway.

The Goldsmith’s Tale “A Brief & Broadly Allegorical History of Banking”

Which political party do you think can “Fix” the economy?  Is the answer the Republicans, Democrats, Green Party, Tea Party, Libertarian Party or the Nazi Party?  Sorry the answer is not any of the above parties.

The correct answer is the party called YOU, INC.
It’s time us to stop blaming Congress (even though their despicable behavior warrants it).

We must realize that the United States as only one country out of 196 countries.  Greece, Italy, Germany, France, and other countries in the so called “developed world” are having their own financial challenges and we are all linked to one another. What happens in one country affects everyone else.
>
How the world economy has gotten into this quandary is captured beautifully in the video below titled The Goldsmith’s Tale:  “A Brief & Broadly Allegorical History of Banking”.

Shift Happens! – Are you ready?

Think of a Paradigm Shift as a change from one way of thinking to another. It’s a revolution, a transformation, a sort of metamorphosis. It just does not happen, but rather it is driven by agents of change.

Reality is distorted by our past perceptions. (see two illustrations below).  View the video link below.  It will literally “ASTOUND”you.
