Solo Cyber Shopping vs. Social Cyber Shopping – Which one suits you?

Hello Everyone:
–
Cyber Monday (Home Alone) was yesterday November 28th and allows one to shop from the comforts their warm home or during their breaks at their workplace.
–
–
–

–

–
Note:  You can now shop on-line for door busters starting as early as Thanksgiving Day morning–all from the comfort of your home vs. standing in a dark parking lot wet and shivering prior to the doors opening on Black Friday.
–
See NCM Blog below “Comedienne Karen Alloy’s Black Friday experience will leave you laughing”.
–
By now people are aware of what to look for regarding on-line security. When in doubt, use your Pay Pal account or a prepaid card that you have transferred money onto for the purpose of shopping on-line.
–
–
CYBER SHOPPING SOCIALS
For those of you that like the convenience of cyber shopping and also like mingling and sharing with people; consider CYBER SHOPPING SOCIALSwhich are safe, comfortable, creative and fun..
Host a casual Cyber shopping social by Inviting an intimate number of your family, friends and neighbors over for holiday gift shopping any day during the work week or the weekends leading up to Christmas.

For the recipe; see PDF file attachment

–
Guests can bring their own notebooks and tablets.  If you like having food and beverages make something simple like chili in a crock pot or spread out some deli meats breads and cheeses for your guests to make their own sandwiches.  Paper plates and disposal utensils will make clean-up a breeze.
The host may prefer to have cookies and hot chocolate instead.  For those that like to bake there’s a recipe for Pumpkin Pie in the White House Holiday Tour Book 2015.  (see PDF file attachment at end of email)
Put on some holiday music and your Cyber shopping socials eliminates the negative elements of Black Friday and that home alone feeling of Cyber Monday. Instead Cyber shopping socials shines a light on the positive elements of Small Business Saturday mingling and sharing with people.
See NCM Blog below SHOP LOCAL and become NOBEL – Small Business Saturday Nov. 26, 2016.
 –
One can host several Cyber shopping socials leading up to New Year 2016 or a guest may decide to host one in their home.  Every year the White House has a Christmas theme.  Last year it was “A Timeless Tradition Holidays at the White House 2015“.  (see PDF file attachment at end of email)  You may decide to have a theme for your Cyber shopping socials.
–

If children will be in attendance provide them with their own room or area to craft holiday cards, decorations or play games.

Greetings!,

Happy Authentic Tuesday!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you thoroughly enjoy Thanksgiving Day as well as the entire holiday season.
 –
As we enter the season, I’m reminded of the meaning behind Thanksgiving. It’s as simple as giving thanks. Being thankful is a state of mind. All kinds of things could be happening around us yet we can still be thankful.
 –
While many people protest the recent election and are fearful of what the next four years may bring, I am thankful to have been born in a country where I can vote and freely voice my opinion by the words I speak and the things I do.
Even though I have had challenges as an entrepreneur, especially in financial areas from time to time, I am thankful that I have the choice of being an entrepreneur as a viable way to express myself and follow my spirit.
Some countries denounce religious freedom and require residents to follow only one rule of order. I am thankful that I live in a country where I can follow my spirit and believe as I choose.
Even though I have had multiple health problems since I was eight years old, I am thankful to have lived as long as I have with the health and energy I enjoy.
And in spite of not having any close family members nearby, I am thankful for my expansive extended family and the deep relationships I have developed.
Most of us have stories that we are constantly overcoming. It’s a part of being human on this planet. We have a choice of being scarred from our experiences or finding lessons and the joy that comes from the lessons.
On this Thanksgiving and throughout the holiday season I hope you will adapt an attitude of gratitude. As you practice such gratitude over the next six weeks or so, I hope that it becomes such a habit that you adopt an attitude of gratitude as a way of life.
The more gratitude you express, the more you will impact your world to be more thankful and express attitudes that lead to joy. Joy leads to authenticity. What a wonderful way to claim it!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Love and Authenticity,
Norma

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pays tribute

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau paid tribute to President Barack Obama’s daughters at their first state dinner, recalling how he grew up in the spotlight when his dad was prime minister and how he missed state dinners because he was too young.

The boyish-looking, 44-year-old son of late Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau said it was touching to meet Malia and Sasha Obama and said he wished he had been a teenager when his dad was a world leader.  He said he admired their strength and called it a “remarkable childhood and young adulthood that will give you extraordinary strength and wisdom beyond your years for the rest of your life.”

Delicacies and Decadence: The Chinese State Dinner – September 25, 2015 – 20 photos

大家好!
(Hello Everyone!)

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will host the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and Madame Peng Liyuan for an Official State Visit followed by a State Dinner.
This marks the tenth State Visit of the Obama Administration; previous visits include: India in November 2009, Mexico in May 2010, China in January 2011, Germany in June 2011, Korea in October 2011, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland in March 2012, France in February 2014, Japan in April 2015, and the Holy See in September 2015.

This visit reciprocates President Obama’s State Visit to China in November 2014.  President Xi’s visit presents an opportunity to expand U.S.-China cooperation on a range of global, regional, and bilateral issues of mutual interest, while also enabling President Obama and President Xi to constructively address areas of disagreement.

Inspirational videos from one of TOMS first shoe drops in Argentina

Shoes For A Better Tomorrow, later shortened to TOMS

 –
 –
Blake Mycoskie, who first visited Argentina while competing on the showSurvivor Amazing Race, returned to the country on vacation in 2006. While there, he met an American woman who was part of a volunteer organization which provided shoes for children in need. Mycoskie spent several days traveling from village to village with the group, as well as on his own.
–
“(I witnessed) the intense pockets of poverty just outside the bustling capital,” he wrote in a 2011 article for The Business Insider. “It dramatically heightened my awareness. Yes, I knew somewhere in the back of my mind that poor children around the world often went barefoot, but now, for the first time, I saw the real effects of being shoeless: the blisters, the sores, the infections.”
 –
INSPIRATIONAL Videos
The videos below are from one of TOMS earliest shoe drops in Argentina.  These videos are extremely powerful; however, PLEASE BE FORWARDED this video series can be difficult and inspirational to watch when you see poverty that most Americans never experience or even know about.
