Cyber Monday is officially Monday, December 2, 2013.  Remember your on-line shopping does not have to be tomorrow especially if it conflicts with your employer’s workplace policies or you have not taken the time to do some planning, research including comparison shopping.
Shopping on-line can be done from the warm surrounding of your home or other comfortable venues without having to run from store to store to comparison shop.  Check out the video below:  Introduction to PriceGrabber.
Don’t Rush
You have at least two weeks to place your order and receive your gifts before Christmas Eve, December 24th and there are alternatives to receiving gifts if ordering later than around December 15th which I will cover later as
mid-December approaches.  While most gifts will be received within 2-5 days; it’s best to plan 10 days during the busy holiday season.
Two important steps for a successful Cyber Monday and beyond are:
1.  Planning
2.  Research
Coffee cup and notepad
Plan, research & shop from the comfort of your home
1.  Make a list of every key person you plan on giving a holiday gift to. (special family members, close friends, key clients and all employees).
2.  Have a dollar amount for each person and idea of a gift within the dollar amount.
3.  Don’t forget service providers that give good to great service for you on a regular basis, ie. babysitter, mail carrier, doorman, hairdresser, personal trainer, favorite restaurant wait staff person(s)
Do Online Research:
If you’re unsure of which specific item to buy (for example, you want to buy your husband a digital camera but don’t know what brand or model is best), search for reputable online reviews. You’ll have to pay a small subscription fee, but has hundreds of expert reviews on everything from laptops to baby strollers to breakfast cereals.

Or check sites with user reviews and ratings, such as or, to find out which products have the most positive feedback. To find the best online price, use a comparison shopping site, such as  (See Intro video below)
