Hello Everyone:

The original Apple logo featuring Isaac Newton and a poem was quite different than the minimalist Apple logo of today. The words around the border read “Newton – a mind forever voyaging through strange seas of thought…alone.” which is quoted from a William Wordsworth poem.

After Steve dropped out of college; he voluntarily took a calligraphy course which he was extremely passionate about and appeared to have no practical application.  When the Macintosh was released in 1984; it was the first computer with different fonts and sizes.

Check out the APPLE I (see attachment) first invented and sold in 1976.  There was no keyboard or case (the owner added the keyboard and wooden case in the photo).  APPLE I sold for $650 in 1976.  In 2011 dollars; the equivalent of $2,500.
In the brief video below; Steve Jobs narrates the first Think Different commercial “Here’s to the Crazy Ones”. It never aired. Richard Dreyfuss did the voiceover for the original spot that aired. However Steve’s 1997 version is much better.
Afterwards at a Q&A session, Steve is laying out his concept for the iCloud which in 1997 doesn’t have a name.  It’s fascinating to see Steve lay out the concept and you can see Steve literally thinking out loud and looking upward toward the sky.

Think Different!
